Health centre upgrades in Minimata Nagar

At the upcoming 30-bed Urban Community Health Centre in Minimata Nagar, Itankar directed officials to widen the side entrance, earmark parking space, and lay paver blocks in designated areas. He also suggested developing the open space in front of the hospital into a walking track, garden, and play area for residents.

The commissioner instructed officials to equip the hospital with air conditioning, a modular operation theatre, an effluent treatment plant, quality furniture, and rooftop solar panels through MEDA. The facility will provide OPD and IPD services, besides neonatal, paediatric, gynaecology, ophthalmology, dental, radiology, surgical, and 24-hour emergency care services.
