In a tragic incident in Jaunpur district, two teenage girls drowned while bathing in the Sai River on Friday. The incident occurred at the Sai river ghat in Nahora village of Jalalpur area.
Details of the Incident
According to reports, the girls had gone to bathe at the river ghat. While bathing, Pinki alias Gudiya (17) and Shivangi (17) ventured into deep water and drowned. Their bodies were later retrieved by divers and sent for post-mortem examination by the police.
Third Girl Hospitalized
Another girl, Gunja (18), was found unconscious at the scene. She was immediately admitted to a hospital for treatment. Her condition is reported to be critical.
