The Deputy Commissioner clarified that all 239 employees had already been formally deputed as polling personnel for critical election duties. Official appointment letters detailing their roles and responsibilities had been dispatched to them well in advance. Despite this prior intimation and clear communication regarding the scheduled training, the employees failed to attend the crucial session.
Aditya Ranjan did not mince words in his assessment. He characterized their collective absence as an act of wilful negligence, gross indiscipline, and a clear dereliction of duty. Taking an extremely serious view of the matter, the District Election Officer has directed all 239 absent personnel to submit their written explanations to the Personnel Cell within a strict 24-hour deadline. The notice explicitly states that failure to comply with this directive will result in the initiation of further disciplinary action as per established government rules and regulations.
