AIADMK labour wing to hold district review meetings from June 29
AIADMK labour wing district review meetings June 29

Chennai: The AIADMK is set to conduct district-wise review meetings for its labour wing, the Anna Labour Union, and its allied associations from June 29 to July 20. R Tamilarasan, the newly appointed secretary of the union, will chair these meetings to discuss action plans and development activities.

Revamping the Labour Wing

The primary objective is to revamp and strengthen the labour wing, which includes units in state transport and civil supplies, to arrest the erosion of its worker base. This restructuring comes in the wake of the recent exit of former secretary R Kamalakannan, who defected to chief minister C Vijay Joseph’s TVK, taking several Anna Labour Union members with him and weakening the AIADMK wing.

Party Directives

Following instructions from AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, the party has directed district functionaries to make all necessary arrangements for the meetings. Members have been urged to attend the meetings and actively share their views to contribute to the wing's rejuvenation.
