Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia, who serves as the party's in-charge for Punjab, convened a meeting with party volunteers at a farm in Sirhind on Saturday. During the gathering, Sisodia reviewed the performance of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and urged workers to prepare for the 2027 Assembly elections.
Sisodia Seeks Feedback on Government Functioning
Addressing the volunteers, Sisodia sought their feedback on the functioning of the Mann government. He discussed strategies to strengthen the party at the grassroots level, emphasizing the importance of direct engagement with the public.
Door-to-Door Campaigning Strategy
Sisodia urged AAP volunteers to visit every household to spread awareness about the government's welfare initiatives and listen to public concerns. He stressed that resolving issues effectively would require direct interaction with citizens.
Highlighting Achievements of Mann Government
Sisodia highlighted significant progress in key sectors under the Mann government. He stated that Punjab had emerged as a leader in education reforms and noted that the health insurance scheme, providing coverage of up to Rs 10 lakh, had brought major relief to families.
Reduction in Electricity Bills and Irrigation Progress
He also pointed to the reduction in the burden of electricity bills on consumers and claimed that canal water was now reaching far-off villages. According to Sisodia, nearly 78 per cent of irrigation needs in the state are being met through canal water.
