Digitisation Milestone Achieved in Belagavi
Deputy Commissioner Roshan has confirmed that an impressive 80.60% of the SIR (Special Integrated Registration) enumeration forms in the Belagavi district have been successfully digitised. Speaking to reporters, the Deputy Commissioner provided a detailed update on the progress of the enumeration process, highlighting the efficient coordination between Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and the administration.
According to Roshan, BLOs distributed enumeration forms to a total of 41.07 lakh voters across the district. Out of these, 33,10,399 completed forms have been collected and subsequently digitised. This achievement marks a significant step towards modernising voter registration and ensuring accurate records.
Role of Booth Level Officers
The BLOs played a crucial role in the distribution and collection process. They worked tirelessly to reach out to voters, ensuring that forms were distributed and collected in a timely manner. The digitisation of these forms will streamline data management and reduce errors in the electoral rolls. Roshan praised the BLOs for their dedication and hard work, which made this milestone possible.
The digitisation effort is part of a broader initiative by the Karnataka state government to enhance the efficiency of the electoral system. By converting paper forms into digital records, the administration aims to improve accessibility, reduce redundancy, and facilitate easier updates to voter information.

With 80.60% of forms already digitised, the remaining forms are expected to be processed soon. This will ensure that the electoral roll in Belagavi is up-to-date and accurate.
