BJP Leaders Protest in Ranchi Over Missing Children Case
BJP members staged a two-hour dharna in front of the Senior Superintendent of Police office in Ranchi on Monday. The protest aimed to highlight concerns about the delayed search for two missing children named Ansh and Anshika.
Political Pressure Mounts on Police
A team of BJP legislators led the demonstration at the collectorate. Ranchi MLA C P Singh and Hatia MLA Navin Jaiswal organized the protest to demand justice for the children. They also called for better crime prevention measures across the state.
Both BJP and Ajsu-P leaders have criticized police handling of the case. Ajsu-P supremo Sudesh Mahto personally visited the affected family members. He expressed dissatisfaction with the current investigation progress.
Allegations of Police Insensitivity
Protesting leaders accused police officials of showing insensitivity toward the missing children's case. They claimed the delayed response occurred because the children come from a poor family background.
MLA C P Singh addressed the gathering during the dharna. He stated, "It is shameful that police cannot trace the children even after twelve days." Singh urged administrative and police officials to show more sensitivity in handling such matters.
MLA Navin Jaiswal explained the demonstration's purpose. He said it represented an appeal for justice for both children and their mother. Jaiswal specifically criticized police for delays in registering the FIR and forming a special investigation team.
Missing Children Case Details
The two children disappeared from Dhurwa area in Ranchi city on January 2. Police have conducted inter-state operations to locate them but without success so far. The case has gained significant attention across political circles in Jharkhand.
Security Arrangements During Protest
Authorities maintained strict security measures during the BJP demonstration. ADM Law and Order Rajeshwar Nath Alok supervised the arrangements. A strong contingent of police force remained present to ensure law and order.
Barricades were installed on roads leading to the collectorate complex. These measures prevented any disruption to normal administrative functions while allowing peaceful protest.
The political pressure continues to mount on Ranchi police as the search for Ansh and Anshika enters its second week. Both major political parties have now publicly criticized police handling of this sensitive case involving children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
