BJP President Nitin Nabin Launches Scathing Attack on Kerala's Ruling Fronts
BJP national president Nitin Nabin has forcefully initiated his party's election campaign in Kerala, delivering a sharp critique of both the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF). Speaking at a conference of BJP booth-level presidents from Ernakulam and Alappuzha districts in Angamaly on Friday, Nabin asserted that these two fronts have severely impeded the state's progress by alternating in governance without achieving meaningful development.
Allegations of Corruption and Failed Governance
Nabin declared, "These two fronts completely failed to utilize their many years in power for genuine development and instead engaged in governance deeply mired in corruption. Their politics have consistently been about appeasement rather than public welfare. If the extensive corruption and blatant appeasement tactics of both fronts are fully exposed to the public, the people of Kerala will undoubtedly embrace the BJP with open arms." This marks Nabin's first visit to Kerala since assuming the role of BJP national president, as part of a significant two-day tour aimed at galvanizing the party's base.
Accusations of Undermining Sanatana Dharma
Nabin further intensified his criticism by accusing the UDF and LDF of actively opposing Sanatana Dharma. He elaborated, "The UDF operates in a political alliance with groups like Jamaat-e-Islami and the Muslim League. There were even deliberate obstacles from the UDF's side against the simple act of reading the Ramayana. They harbor a clear animosity towards temples and Hindu traditions. Meanwhile, the Left has adopted a systematic approach that fundamentally undermines our core beliefs and cultural heritage."
He highlighted specific instances, noting, "We witnessed that they were not even willing to spare Lord Ayyappa during the Sabarimala controversy. Additionally, we have seen the DMK, a key ally of the INDI alliance, openly ridiculing Sanatana Dharma. The Congress party itself went to the Supreme Court to challenge the existence of the sacred Ram Setu and the construction of the Ram temple." Nabin added that both fronts are actively attempting to destroy the sanctity of Sabarimala, a major pilgrimage site.
BJP's Pledge of Strong Resistance and Political Change
In response to these perceived threats, Nabin vowed that the BJP would mobilize strong protests and ensure punishment for those responsible. He stated emphatically, "The BJP will move forward with determined and vigorous protests against these culprits. We are committed to ensuring they face appropriate consequences. The millions of devout believers in Kerala will not allow those who have tried to destroy Sanatana Dharma to escape accountability. We are even prepared to sacrifice our lives for this righteous cause if necessary."
Addressing Youth Migration and Economic Concerns
Shifting to socio-economic issues, Nabin pointed out the alarming trend of Kerala's youth migrating abroad for education and employment opportunities. He remarked, "Millions of young people have been forced to leave Kerala in search of better prospects. Once celebrated as a land of education and opportunity, this exodus highlights the failure of current governance. The youth of Kerala are departing because the state has not provided adequate educational and job opportunities under the existing regimes."
Confidence in BJP's Future in Kerala
Expressing strong confidence in the BJP's electoral prospects, Nabin asserted that the party is poised to bring transformative change to Kerala. He proclaimed, "BJP workers are fully prepared and energized to end the long-standing Left rule in Thiruvananthapuram and across the state. The time for the BJP to come to power in Kerala is not far off. Just as the BJP has achieved governance in numerous states across the country, we are confident that a BJP government will soon be established in Kerala as well." The event also featured addresses by BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar and national general secretary Vinod Tawde, underscoring the party's unified front and strategic focus on the upcoming elections.
