Jagga Reddy dares BJP for debate, slams privatisation

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress working president Jagga Reddy dared BJP leaders to a debate on Congress rule and their contribution to the nation, as well as 12 years of BJP rule. He said the successive Congress governments in united Andhra Pradesh brought central institutions such as BHEL, BDL, ICRISAT, and IIT Hyderabad to the city. However, the BJP government is privatising public sector undertakings (PSUs) during its rule.

Rahul Gandhi's birthday celebration

The Congress leader, along with hundreds of party workers, celebrated Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi's birthday in Sangareddy on Friday. They cut a 200 kg cake specially prepared for the birthday celebrations and also distributed 350 bicycles to students.

Call for Congress return to power

Jagga Reddy said there was a need to bring Congress back into power at the Centre and make Rahul Gandhi the prime minister for the sake of the nation. “The BJP leaders are celebrating, claiming they have dismantled Nehru’s legacy, which is not good for the country,” he added.

Jagga Reddy stated that the BJP failed the country in the past 12 years of rule and failed to fulfill promises like creating two crore jobs every year. Similarly, the BJP promised housing for all and would deposit Rs 15 lakh in every poor family’s account. “The BJP knows only to cheat the people and gain votes,” the TPCC leader said.
