Jaipur is set to host the prestigious Army Day Parade in 2026, and in a significant move to boost public engagement, the state authorities have announced three full-scale rehearsals open for citizens to attend. The first of these rehearsals, scheduled for January 9, will be specially dedicated to women and girls.
Special Focus on Women's Participation
The Rajasthan government is making concerted efforts to ensure strong female participation in the inaugural rehearsal. The state's home department has issued clear instructions to all concerned departments to encourage and facilitate the attendance of women and girls from various educational institutions and organizations. This initiative aims to inspire a wider audience and honor the role of women in the nation's progress.
Chief Secretary V Srinivas recently visited the parade venue on Mahal Road in Jagatpura to personally oversee the preparation status. During his inspection, he provided on-the-spot directives to officials to ensure the event's success. Emphasizing the grandeur of the occasion, Srinivas stated, "The Army Day Parade being held in Jaipur is a matter of pride for the entire state, and it should be organised in a manner befitting its national importance. Govt of Rajasthan will provide full cooperation for the successful conduct of the Army Day Parade-2026."
Logistics and Coordination in Full Swing
A high-level coordination meeting was chaired by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Bhaskar A Sawant to streamline arrangements. Jaipur District Collector Jitendra Kumar Soni provided updates on critical logistical plans, including spectator seating and the mapping of entry and exit routes to manage the expected crowds smoothly.
Authorities have requested all educational institutions and organizations to submit the details and number of their participants by Monday to aid in planning. The state government is particularly keen on having young aspirants preparing for army recruitment and other military examinations, along with students from schools, colleges, and universities, witness the parade. This exposure is seen as a powerful motivational tool for the youth.
Preparations Aim for Maximum Reach
The core objective behind organizing these three rehearsals, starting from January 9, is to reach the maximum number of people and allow them to experience the discipline and grandeur of the armed forces ahead of the main event. The administration is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the rehearsals and the final parade are conducted flawlessly, reflecting the national significance of Army Day.
With these comprehensive preparations, Jaipur is poised to host a memorable and inspiring Army Day Parade in 2026, fostering a deeper connection between the citizens and the Indian Army.
