Voting for the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation elections wrapped up peacefully across Mumbai on Thursday. The entire process remained largely calm and orderly throughout the day.
Minor Clashes Reported at Some Polling Stations
Police officials confirmed that a few minor verbal altercations occurred between workers from rival political parties. These incidents happened at a handful of polling booths scattered across the city.
Joint Commissioner of Police Satyanarayan Chaudhary addressed the media after polling concluded. He stated clearly that the election process maintained its peaceful character from start to finish.
"We recorded no significant incidents related to the polls in Mumbai today," Chaudhary emphasized. "This was a peaceful election overall."Massive Police Deployment Ensured Security
Authorities took extensive measures to guarantee law and order during the voting period. More than twenty-eight thousand police personnel received deployment across Mumbai's polling locations.
Polling stations opened their doors to voters at 7:30 in the morning. The heavy police presence helped maintain a secure environment for citizens exercising their democratic right.
Senior Police Officials Conducted Security Reviews
Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti personally visited multiple areas of the city to assess security arrangements. He conducted these inspections alongside other senior police officers.
Commissioner Bharti toured several key locations during his review. His itinerary included visits to:

- Malad
- D N Nagar in Andheri West
- Dharavi
During these visits, the Police Commissioner inspected sensitive polling stations. He also interacted directly with police personnel stationed on duty at these locations.
The overall assessment from police authorities indicates a successful security operation. Despite the minor verbal clashes reported, the electoral process proceeded without major disruptions across Mumbai.
