PMK Leader Anbumani Ramadoss Accuses DMK of Election Money Power Scheme
In a fiery address at the state general body meeting of the PMK youth wing in Chennai on Tuesday, party president Anbumani Ramadoss launched a scathing attack on the ruling DMK. He alleged that the DMK is planning to 'buy victory with money power' in the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly elections, claiming this strategy will ultimately lead to their decimation at the polls.
Prediction of DMK's Electoral Collapse
Anbumani Ramadoss made bold predictions about the election outcome, stating emphatically that 'DMK will win only single digit seats' despite their alleged financial maneuvering. In contrast, he projected that the NDA alliance under AIADMK leadership would secure a minimum of 200 seats in the state assembly.
The PMK leader painted a picture of widespread discontent across Tamil Nadu, asserting that 'Tamil Nadu seethes in anger against DMK'. He claimed this resentment spans all segments of society including people from various castes, government employees, women, and youth who feel betrayed by Chief Minister M K Stalin's administration.
Allegations of False Promises and Failed Governance
Anbumani Ramadoss accused the DMK government of making 26 fake announcements in just the past 45 days, describing them as 'pure drama' without allocated funds. He specifically mentioned schemes like Kalaiñar Kanavu Illam, Anbu Cholai and Padham Padhukappom as examples of empty promises.
'Five years of the DMK regime delivered nothing,' he declared, labeling Stalin as the worst chief minister Tamil Nadu has seen since independence. The PMK president warned that a youth revolution similar to those that have toppled regimes globally is brewing in the state and will manifest during the elections.
Internal Party Criticism and Corruption Allegations
Turning his attention to internal party matters, Anbumani Ramadoss alleged that DMK minister EV Velu was acting like the 'honorary president' of the PMK faction led by party founder S Ramadoss. He also targeted Ramadoss' supporter G K Mani, calling him a traitor who feeds false information to the party founder despite favorable Supreme Court rulings for their faction.
During the meeting, the PMK youth wing passed six significant resolutions including:
- A demand for a CBI probe into alleged 6 lakh crore corruption charges against the DMK government
- A declaration that Tamil Nadu faces an unprecedented crisis after 78 years of independence
- An accusation that DMK's false promises have delivered only betrayal to the people
- A claim that while the drug empire thrives under DMK rule, crimes including murders, robberies and sexual violence have increased dramatically
The strong rhetoric from the PMK president sets the stage for a contentious election campaign in Tamil Nadu, with allegations of financial manipulation, governance failures, and internal political maneuvering taking center stage as parties prepare for the upcoming assembly polls.
