Amid the controversy over alleged missing funds at the Ram Temple construction site, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is likely to appoint a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reportedly snubbed Trust Secretary Champat Rai over the issue.
State Government Seeks Legal Opinion
According to sources, the state government had sought legal opinion on appointing a CEO in the Trust. The move is seen as an attempt to bring more transparency and accountability in the temple's construction and fund management.
CM Adityanath's Stance
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed displeasure over the handling of funds and is pushing for structural changes in the Trust's management. Champat Rai, who has been a key figure in the Ram Temple movement, is reportedly facing criticism for the lack of financial clarity.
The Trust, which oversees the construction of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, has been under scrutiny after reports emerged of discrepancies in the utilization of donations. The appointment of a CEO is expected to streamline operations and ensure proper oversight.
This development comes as the temple construction progresses rapidly, with the sanctum sanctorum nearing completion. Devotees across the country have contributed generously to the temple fund, and any mismanagement has sparked concerns.
