Tej Pratap Yadav Denies Fatherhood Claims, Accuses RJD Leaders of Conspiracy
In a dramatic press conference held in New Delhi, former Bihar minister and estranged son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav, vehemently denied widespread social media posts alleging he had been "blessed with a daughter" named Anushka Yadav. The political figure, who has been at the center of numerous controversies, labeled the claims as entirely fabricated and part of a malicious plot against him.
Naming the 'Jaichands': Alleged Conspirators Identified
During his emotional address, Tej Pratap specifically named five individuals as "Jaichands"—a historical metaphor for traitors referencing the 10th-century Rajput chieftain who collaborated with Afghan invader Muhammad Ghori. The accused include:
- Sanjay Yadav – A sitting Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Member of Parliament
- Sunil Singh – A current Member of the Legislative Council (MLC)
- Shakti Singh Yadav – A former Member of the Legislative Assembly
- Mukesh Raushan – Another former MLA
- Rameez – A close friend of Tejashwi Yadav, Tej Pratap's younger brother who was recently elevated to RJD's national working president
"I am completely distraught by these false rumors circulating on social media platforms," Tej Pratap stated. "Several months ago, I was falsely linked with a woman, which ultimately led to my expulsion from the party. Now, these same conspirators are spreading that she has given birth to my child. This is absolutely untrue."
Demanding Investigation and Vowing Legal Action
The former minister called for a thorough investigation into what he described as a coordinated defamation campaign. He raised questions about the relationship between the woman in question and an individual named Akash Bhati, suggesting this connection warranted scrutiny rather than baseless allegations about his own involvement.
"I categorically reject this claim of fathering a child," Tej Pratap declared. "This is a conspiracy hatched by Mukesh Raushan and all these 'jaichands' working together to tarnish my reputation. The authorities should investigate who Akash Bhati is and what relationship he maintains with that girl, rather than fabricating stories about me."
He further emphasized his determination to pursue legal recourse, stating, "We will submit our application and approach the courts. These conspirators must explain the actual relationship between Anushka Yadav and Akash Bhati."
Background of Previous Controversies and Political Fallout
This incident follows a series of turbulent events in Tej Pratap Yadav's political career. Last year, he faced expulsion from both his party and family after sharing a photograph with a woman on Facebook, claiming a twelve-year relationship. He later asserted his social media account had been compromised, characterizing the post as part of a broader scheme to "defame and harass" him and his relatives.
Following his ouster from RJD, Tej Pratap established his own political entity, the Janshakti Janata Dal. However, the party failed to secure any seats in the subsequent Bihar assembly elections, marking a significant setback in his independent political journey.
The current allegations and Tej Pratap's forceful rebuttal highlight ongoing internal tensions within Bihar's political landscape, particularly concerning the Yadav family dynamics and RJD's internal factions. As the situation develops, all eyes remain on potential legal proceedings and further political ramifications.
