TGSRTC Announces Special Maha Shivaratri Bus Service from Hyderabad to Srisailam
In anticipation of the upcoming Maha Shivaratri celebrations, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has unveiled a dedicated bus service to assist devotees traveling to the revered Srisailam shrine. This initiative aims to provide convenient and organized transportation for pilgrims during the significant religious festival.
Special Overnight Bus Schedule and Route Details
According to official statements, the special bus service is scheduled to operate on Friday. The journey will commence from the BHEL Depot in Hyderabad at 10:30 PM, with an estimated arrival time at Srisailam by 4:30 AM the following morning. This overnight service is designed to accommodate devotees seeking to participate in early morning rituals at the temple.
The bus will follow a comprehensive route through key locations in Hyderabad, including Ramachandrapuram, Beeranguda, Ashok Nagar, Lingampally police station, Gulmohar Park, Allwyn, HCU Depot, Masid Banda, Gachibowli Stadium, DLF, Indiranagar, and the Gachibowli ORR Junction. From there, it will proceed via the Outer Ring Road directly to Srisailam, ensuring a smooth and efficient journey for passengers.
Booking Options and Community Transport Facility
Booking for this special Maha Shivaratri bus service is available through multiple channels. Devotees can secure their seats via authorized ATB agents or through the official TGSRTC website, offering flexibility and ease of access for travelers.
In addition to the standard service, TGSRTC has introduced a community-based transport facility to further enhance convenience. If a minimum of 30 passengers from a specific colony, community, or apartment complex register for the pilgrimage, arrangements can be made to operate a bus directly from that location. This option is subject to feasibility and aims to cater to group travel needs, promoting a collective and organized approach to the pilgrimage.
This proactive measure by TGSRTC underscores its commitment to facilitating religious tourism and ensuring safe, accessible transportation for devotees during Maha Shivaratri. The special service and community-based options are expected to significantly ease travel logistics for thousands of pilgrims heading to Srisailam.
