Visakhapatnam Mayor Gives Compensation for Road Works

Visakhapatnam Mayor Peela Srinivasa Rao has announced that compensation will be provided to all individuals who lost properties due to ongoing road widening projects in the city. This move aims to support residents affected by urban development initiatives.

Compensation Distribution Event

On Tuesday, Mayor Rao, accompanied by Pendurthi MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu, personally handed out compensation cheques at the Jana Sena Party office in Pendurthi. The event focused on people impacted by road widening works stretching from Vepagunta to Pinagadi.

Systematic Approach to Compensation

Speaking at the occasion, Mayor Rao emphasized that the distribution process is being carried out in a systematic manner. He assured affected property owners of fair and timely compensation for their losses.

The mayor stated: "The coalition government is making concerted efforts towards the development of Visakhapatnam. As part of this initiative, road widening works are being taken up in accordance with the master plan to ensure smooth and uninterrupted traffic flow across the city."

He specifically mentioned that the Vepagunta-Pinagadi road was widened according to the master plan, and compensation cheques were distributed to 37 affected persons during this event.

MLA Supports Development Efforts

Later, Pendurthi MLA Ramesh Babu expressed his support for the development initiatives. He highlighted that constituency development is only possible under the current coalition government.

Ramesh Babu explained: "The Vepagunta-Pendurthi road had not been widened for many years, causing inconvenience to residents and leading to its poor condition."

The MLA pointed out that the previous lack of road widening had created significant problems for local residents, making the current development efforts particularly important for improving living conditions and traffic flow in the area.

Development Vision for Visakhapatnam

The compensation distribution reflects the city administration's commitment to balanced urban development. By addressing property loss concerns while implementing infrastructure improvements, officials aim to create a more efficient transportation network without disregarding citizen welfare.

Road widening projects form a crucial component of Visakhapatnam's master plan, designed to accommodate growing traffic demands and enhance connectivity across different city sectors.
