Panjab University Clinches Runners-Up Spot in North Zone Basketball Championship
Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, has achieved a commendable finish as the first runners-up in the North Zone Inter-University Basketball (Men) Championship. The tournament, which concluded on Monday, was hosted at MCM DAV College in Kangra and organized by Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla.

PU's journey to the runners-up position was marked by several impressive victories and a narrow defeat. In the qualifying match, the team secured a decisive win over Chandigarh University, Mohali, with a score of 70-56. During the league stage, PU continued its strong performance by defeating Punjabi University, Patiala, 87-60, and Lovely Professional University, 92-58.
However, the team faced a challenging contest against Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, losing a close match with a final score of 38-42. This result ultimately placed PU as the first runners-up in the championship, highlighting their competitive spirit and skill on the court.
