NEW DELHI: Bimal Borah of the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious in the Tingkhong assembly constituency, securing a total of 88,912 votes. He defeated Congress candidate Bipul Gogoi by a decisive margin of 49,026 votes in the 2026 Assam assembly elections.

There were a total of 177,658 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2026 Assembly election in Tingkhong, of whom 85,700 were male, 91,958 female, and none belonged to the third gender.
