Five dead in Hyderabad bike-car crash on bypass

HYDERABAD: Five persons lost their lives in a tragic road accident when a Hayabusa motorcycle collided with a car in Mahabubnagar during the early hours of Monday. The incident took place in the Palakonda area on the Mahabubnagar bypass, where a car had slowed down to execute a U-turn. The motorcycle, traveling at high speed from behind, crashed into the rear portion of the car.

Immediate Fatalities

The bike rider and the pillion rider died on the spot. Additionally, three occupants seated in the rear of the car sustained severe injuries and succumbed to their injuries. The deceased from the car have been identified as Arsha Begum, 31, Upeja, 7, and Umar, 2, all residents of Mahabubnagar. One of the bike riders was identified as Yajub Afzal, 25, of Hyderabad. The identity of the other rider is yet to be ascertained.

Police Investigation

Mahabubnagar Rural police reported that the accident occurred at around 1 am. As of now, no complaint has been filed. Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the crash, including the speed of the motorcycle and the manner in which the U-turn was attempted.
