Sometimes falling in love means getting lost in someone. That is exactly what happens with rising pop icon Madison Beer when she is lost deep in conversations with her boyfriend, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert.

The "Reckless" singer appeared on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast on Thursday, June 18, where she opened up about her NFL boyfriend. "My boyfriend is a Pisces man... When I am having a conversation with my boyfriend, my hair could be on fire, and I wouldn't know that," Madison Beer said.
"To be honest with you, he is the first person I feel that way about. The world can be ending around me, and I wouldn't know... Which was kind of cute," she added.
Feeling Secure and Mature
"That is cute. Do you feel finally secure?" asked Jake Shane. "Totally. I think that it is just so mature. I guess if that is the right word, which I am sure obviously comes with age," Beer responded. "But I think that I also am at a point in my life where I am like, 'What do I really want for my future?' Do I want to just f*ck around forever? No, I don't. I know what I want. And I feel like that was also really big with us. Meaning it felt like he was, I don't know, he just came into my life at the perfect time."
First Date at Home
When asked about their first date, Beer said, "Dude, literally at my house because we were just scared to go in public. We were so nervous... We were just trying; we weren't trying to keep it private because we cared. It was just more so for us, especially when you are first with somebody and dating them, you don't want to publicly be out there. And then what if it doesn't work out a month later? So, I would rather it be really serious at that point. So, I think we just were like, 'We don't need to be out in public.' And we have no problem sitting in my kitchen and talking for eight hours. We don't need to go do things."
Quitting Weed
Herbert and Beer went public in August 2025 when they both felt serious about each other. They might have met before August 2025, possibly up to a year earlier. Beer reportedly quit smoking weed around the time she met the Chargers quarterback. "I stopped smoking weed like a year ago... Fully quit. Because I just had one night where I was like, 'Oh my god, I am going to die one day and be in a coffin forever.' Didn't love that thought when I was stoned. So, then I said, 'I am going to put that down,'" Beer shared.
