Chambal Ghariyals secured a place in the final of the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026 with an 11-run victory over Jabalpur Royal Lions in a thrilling semi-final at Holkar Stadium, Indore.
Chambal Sets 213/8 After Bhadoriya's Late Burst
Batting first, Chambal Ghariyals posted 213/8 in 20 overs. Openers Ankush Singh (29 off 14) and Harsh Dixit (48 off 24) added 39 runs in 3.6 overs. Shubham Sharma then partnered with Dixit for a 42-run stand, but wickets fell regularly. At 170/7 in the 18th over, Aman Bhadoriya smashed 30 off 14 balls to push the total past 200.
Jabalpur's Chase Falls Short Despite Strong Start
In reply, Aryan Tiwari (51 off 34) and Ajay Rohera (44 off 33) put on 105 for the first wicket. Bhadoriya dismissed Rohera in the 11th over. After Tiwari was retired out, a run-out of skipper Rahul Batham (7 off 7) derailed the chase. Sanjog Nijjar fought with 26 off 17, but Mayur Patel conceded only 8 runs in the final over and dismissed Nijjar to seal the win.
Bhadoriya Reflects on Team Effort
Bhadoriya said, 'It was a complete team effort. The plan was to bat deep and take the game till the final overs. Getting past 200 gave us a strong platform. With the ball, I adjusted my lengths after a slow start. Reaching the final again is great, but our aim is to win the tournament.'
