The Los Angeles Rams have enjoyed considerable success on the field over the past two seasons, finishing second in the NFC West during the 2025 campaign. With a record of 12 wins and 5 losses, the Rams suffered a devastating defeat at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game. As the new season approaches, the Rams are focused on strengthening their roster to make another championship push.
Rams Urged to Pursue DeAndre Hopkins
According to a recent report from CBS Sports' Jordan Dajani, the Los Angeles Rams could be a potential landing spot for former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Dajani speculated that the Rams might pivot to bring in a veteran wideout to help them contend for a Super Bowl title.
In his analysis, Dajani noted, "The Los Angeles Rams expressed interest in trading for A.J. Brown... they could pivot and bring in another veteran to help hoist a Lombardi Trophy." He added that the Rams' 2025 draft class, headlined by quarterback Ty Simpson selected 13th overall, was considered underwhelming by some pundits. Dajani continued, "The Rams passed on taking a top weapon like Makai Lemon or Kenyon Sadiq, so Hopkins would be a welcomed addition for Matthew Stafford."
Despite the speculation, the Rams have remained silent on any official trade talks involving the 33-year-old wide receiver. Hopkins has shown a slight decline in performance over the past season.
DeAndre Hopkins' Recent Performance
After signing a lucrative one-year deal worth $5 million with the Baltimore Ravens, Hopkins finished the 2025 season with 22 receptions for 330 yards and two touchdowns. In the 2024 season, he recorded 56 receptions, 610 yards, and five touchdowns over 16 regular-season games, splitting time between the Tennessee Titans (six games) and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Hopkins reached the Super Bowl for the first time in his career with the Chiefs in the 2024 season, making history as the second wide receiver in Super Bowl history to record both a receiving touchdown and a two-point conversion in the same game. While his production has dipped since then, the football world is watching closely to see where Hopkins will land next season.
