Thane Girl to Celebrate ICSE Success at Everest Base Camp

Akshara Goel, a student from Thane, has set her sights on climbing Mount Everest after her ICSE Class 10 results. She will celebrate her academic success at the Everest Base Camp on May 17. Goel, a student of Smt Sulochanadevi Singhania School, scored an impressive 98.8% in her board exams.

Training and Preparation

Apart from academics, Goel regularly practiced yoga while preparing for her Everest quest. She engaged in daily trekking on Yeoor Hills and began climbing her 16-storey building months ago, continuing even during board exams. Her training regimen helped her maintain focus and balance.

Family Support

Goel will launch her Everest campaign next week with her parents and elder sister, who scored 99% in Class 9 and 99.25% in Class 12. The family will undertake one of the most epic treks in the world—the Everest Base Camp trek.

World Record Attempt

During the trek, Goel will represent a learning platform in an extraordinary world record attempt by conducting a live online class from one of the highest altitudes in the world. This initiative aims to push the boundaries of learning and demonstrate how education can extend beyond conventional classroom settings.

"Throughout the year, even during the board exams, I made sure to maintain a balance. I believe this balance helped me stay motivated and focused," said Goel. She added that she aspires to pursue a career in robotics and artificial intelligence.
