A tragic road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad district claimed the lives of a couple and their four-month-old daughter on Thursday evening. The victims were identified as Ajay Kumar (28), his wife Omshree (25), and their infant daughter Tanu. They were traveling on a motorcycle from their home in Firozabad to Etah to attend a relative's wedding when the incident occurred.
Details of the Accident
According to police, the accident took place near Jasrana when Ajay attempted to overtake another vehicle. A truck coming from the opposite direction hit their motorcycle. The impact was so severe that Omshree and Tanu died on the spot. Ajay, who worked at a local glass factory, was critically injured and rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment early Friday.
Police Response and Legal Action
Jasrana Station House Officer (SHO) Rajesh Kumar Pandey confirmed that police reached the scene immediately and transported the victims to a medical facility. The truck driver fled the spot after the collision. Based on a complaint filed by Ajay's brother, a case has been registered at Jasrana police station against the unidentified truck driver under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prem Prakash Pandey stated, "The vehicle has been seized, and further legal action is underway. We are making efforts to trace the absconding driver."

The couple leaves behind their infant daughter, who was also killed in the accident.
