Speaking to the media, Rao emphasized the need for the fielding unit to step up and convert opportunities into wickets.

Rao acknowledged that dropped catches have been a recurring issue for Delhi Capitals, directly influencing the outcomes of close games. He stated, "We have dropped some crucial catches in the last few matches, and that has put extra pressure on our bowlers. In a tournament like the IPL, where margins are thin, such mistakes can be costly." The team has been working on improving their catching drills and fielding positions to minimize errors.

Apart from fielding, Rao highlighted other areas that need attention. He pointed out that the batting unit needs to build better partnerships, especially in the middle overs.
