Car Fire in Nagpur Due to Short Circuit, Driver Safe

A car caught fire due to a suspected short circuit near Wathoda Square in Nagpur on Thursday afternoon. The driver, Nikhil Mohod, who was behind the wheel of the moving vehicle, managed to jump out safely after noticing smoke emanating from the car.

Quick Response by Fire Department

According to the fire department, a fire call was received at 2:02 pm, following which firefighters from Wathoda fire station reached the spot within two minutes and brought the blaze under control. By then, the fire had already damaged the vehicle's seats, tyres, and wiring.

Three fire tenders were deployed under the supervision of station in-charge Chandrashekhar R Ranadive. The incident was later reported to Nandanvan police for further action.
