Pocso Court Grants Bail for NEET Re-exam

MUMBAI: A special Pocso court on Wednesday granted temporary bail to an 18-year-old student currently held in judicial custody at Taloja Central Prison, allowing him to appear for the upcoming NEET re-examination. The student, who faces charges under the BNS and the Pocso Act, sought the relief to prepare and sit for the exam scheduled for June 21. The victim stated she had no objection to bail being granted, provided the accused gave an assurance that he would not defame or threaten her family.

“….it is found that there are perspicuous valid grounds for release of accused on provisional temporary bail so as to enable him to appear for exam,” the special judge said.
