Audi has officially revealed its highly anticipated E7X electric SUV, marking a significant step forward in the brand's electrification strategy. The E7X boasts an impressive range of 751 kilometers on a single charge, making it one of the longest-range electric SUVs in the market. Under the hood, the vehicle is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that produces 680 horsepower, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.8 seconds.
Design and Exterior
The E7X features a sleek and aerodynamic design, with a closed-off single-frame grille and ultra-slim Matrix LED headlights. The silhouette is coupe-like, with a sloping roofline that enhances its sporty appeal. Large 22-inch alloy wheels and flush door handles contribute to a drag coefficient of just 0.25, improving efficiency.
Futuristic Cabin
Inside, the E7X offers a futuristic cabin that emphasizes sustainability and technology. The seats are upholstered in vegan leather and recycled materials, while the dashboard is dominated by a curved panoramic display that spans the entire width of the cockpit. The infotainment system is powered by Android Automotive OS and includes augmented reality navigation, voice control, and over-the-air updates. The rear passengers get individual seats with massage and ventilation functions, along with entertainment screens mounted on the front seatbacks.
Battery and Charging
The E7X is equipped with a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that supports fast charging up to 350 kW. Audi claims that the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 22 minutes. The vehicle also features bidirectional charging, allowing owners to power external devices or even their homes.
Autonomous Driving
Audi has equipped the E7X with Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities, enabling hands-free driving on highways at speeds up to 130 km/h. The system uses a combination of lidar, radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors to navigate traffic and handle lane changes automatically.
Pricing and Availability
The Audi E7X is expected to go on sale in late 2026, with prices starting at around $95,000 in the US market. It will compete with the Tesla Model X, BMW iX, and Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV. Audi plans to offer the E7X in multiple variants, including a performance-oriented RS version with over 800 horsepower.
