KGMU Launches Training Programme on Minimally Invasive Spine Endoscopy
KGMU Starts Spine Endoscopy Training for Pain Management

Lucknow: King George's Medical University (KGMU) has launched a specialised training programme focused on minimally invasive spine endoscopy procedures for pain management. The programme is organised by the pain medicine unit of the anaesthesiology department in collaboration with the anatomy department, under the aegis of the Indian Society of Pain Clinicians (ISPC).

Training Advanced Endoscopic Interventions

The initiative is designed to train doctors in advanced endoscopic spine interventions, which are increasingly being adopted for treating conditions such as lower back pain and sciatica. Experts highlight that this procedure helps patients avoid major surgery, leading to faster recovery times and often allowing discharge within a day.

Workshop Leadership and Faculty

The workshop was chaired by Dr. Sarita Singh, with practical sessions conducted by Dr. Manish Singh and Dr. Abhishek. Lectures on endoscopy techniques were delivered by Dr. Vishnukumar and Dr. Brihaspati Tiwari, providing comprehensive theoretical and hands-on training to participating physicians.
