Actor Rajat Bedi has made a notable return to Hindi entertainment after a long hiatus with the series 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood', directed by Aryan Khan. In a recent interaction, he shared his insights on the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence in cinema, a topic that has been widely discussed among filmmakers.
Rajat Bedi on AI in Filmmaking
During an interview with IANS, Rajat spoke about how technology is shaping the visual aspects of storytelling. He believes that AI can significantly enhance the overall cinematic experience by elevating visuals. 'AI ends up making everything more beautiful,' he said, emphasizing that it can make scenes visually more powerful and even unimaginable.
When asked about the depiction of natural beauty on screen, particularly regarding Punjab's landscapes, Rajat explained, 'Our Punjab is most definitely beautiful. When one shoots in the Sarso ke khet, it looks like pure heaven on the screen. However, with the arrival of AI, a lot of things will be visually more powerful, more beautiful, and even unimaginable.'
Addressing Controversy Around the Series
Rajat also responded to criticism from producer Viveck Vaswani, who objected to a particular scene in the series, calling it exaggerated and unrealistic. Distancing himself from the debate, Rajat stressed that the show should be viewed purely as a fictional narrative. 'There is a controversy, please don't put me in it. What Vivek Ji has said is his opinion. The scene is a fiction; it is a dream that Aryan has presented. There is no reality in it,' he told IANS.
He further elaborated that the scene was designed as a dream sequence. 'It is not real. Aryan has shot it as a dream scene and fictional and not real,' he added.
Audience Response Matters the Most
The actor concluded by emphasizing the importance of audience reception, noting that viewer response ultimately determines the success of a project. 'Audiences have given their verdict, and they have loved it. Now Vivek ji can say whatever he wants,' he said. Rajat's role as Jaraj Saxena in 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood' has received much love from audiences.
