In his First Information Report (FIR), Hakim detailed that the salon frequently hosts actors, cricketers, and prominent business figures. The complaint emphasised that Khan acted knowingly and dishonestly, violating privacy protocols.

Police have booked Khan under Sections 43 and 66 of the Information Technology Act. Section 43 penalises unauthorised access, downloading, copying, or extraction of data, while Section 66 addresses hacking and data theft offences. An officer from the Khar police station confirmed that a notice has been served to Khan, but no arrest has been made as the investigation is ongoing.
