Formula E is finally back with one of the most popular races of the year in the Principality of Monaco. The Monaco E-Prix is once again a double-header event, with Round 9 and Round 10 scheduled for Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, respectively. Known for its iconic Monte Carlo Street Circuit, which provides plenty of overtaking opportunities, the Monaco E-Prix is set to deliver the high-octane entertainment it is famous for. 2026 Monaco E-Prix Schedule

This year, the Monaco E-Prix will not begin with a practice session on Friday. Instead, the opening two practice sessions take place on Saturday morning, ahead of the first race. Drivers head out for FP1 at 7:30 AM local time (11 AM IST), followed by FP2 at 9:10 AM local time (12:40 PM IST). After the back-to-back practice sessions, qualifying for Formula E Round 9 begins at 10:40 AM local time (2:10 PM IST). The race then gets underway at 3:05 PM local time (6:35 PM IST).

The third free practice session, FP3, takes place on Sunday at 8:30 AM local time (12 PM IST). Qualifying for Formula E Round 10 begins again at 10:40 AM local time (2:10 PM IST), while the race is scheduled to start at 3:05 PM local time (6:35 PM IST). DJ Jon Rocca will perform at the Monaco Fan Village to keep fans entertained between sessions and races.

Monaco E-Prix Weather Forecast

According to AccuWeather, conditions are expected to remain dry and sunny on Saturday, with temperatures around 18 degrees Celsius. It could become slightly warmer by race time, with temperatures reaching around 19 degrees Celsius. Rain is not forecast for Saturday. Conditions on Sunday are expected to remain similar, although slightly warmer, with temperatures likely hovering around 20 degrees Celsius for most of the day.

Who is Expected to Shine in Monaco This Year?

Oliver Rowland enjoyed a strong Monaco E-Prix weekend last season, claiming one victory and another podium finish before eventually winning the Formula E title. Meanwhile, Sebastien Buemi ended his long winless streak by taking victory in one of the Monaco races. The Envision Racing driver is also heading into the weekend on the back of a triumph at the 6 Hours of Spa and will aim for another podium finish. Other leading contenders for success in Monaco include Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy.
