Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has directed officials to take urgent measures to rescue a woman from Valmikipuram village in Annamayya district who alleged severe harassment at her workplace in Oman. The woman, identified as Dudekula Shehnaz, traveled to Oman for employment to support her family but reportedly endured physical abuse and inhumane treatment.

Distress Video Triggers Action

In a distress video circulated on social media, Shehnaz appealed directly to Pawan Kalyan, stating that she was being assaulted and denied basic necessities such as food and water, and feared for her life. The emotional plea prompted an immediate response from the Deputy Chief Minister.

Coordination with Authorities

Taking serious note of the situation, Pawan Kalyan instructed his office to coordinate rescue efforts without delay. Officials subsequently established contact with Shehnaz's husband and the concerned agent in Oman to gather details. Kalyan's office has also reached out to the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Oman to facilitate her safe return.
