American comedian Walter Masterson has made a direct appeal to the Indian community. He asked them to reconsider their support for the MAGA movement. This call came after a viral video showed Indians celebrating festivals in Texas.
Viral Video Sparks Comedian's Reaction
Masterson posted his thoughts on social media platform X. He referenced the joyful celebrations of Holi, Diwali, and Indian weddings. "It's amazing," he wrote. Then he expressed his wish clearly. "I really wish people in the Indian community stopped supporting MAGA," Masterson stated. He added a stark warning: "They wholeheartedly do not want you here."
The comedian was reacting to a specific video. An X user shared footage of Indians wearing traditional attire during festivities in Texas. This user responded to Texas Governor Greg Abbott's recent remarks. The comment contained offensive language about Texas demographics.
Texas Governor's Controversial Policies
Governor Abbott had earlier announced new laws. He signed legislation prohibiting sister-city agreements with several countries. Abbott labeled these nations as "foreign adversaries." The list included China, Iran, North Korea, and Russia.

Schaffer mocked Abraham George, the Indian-origin chairman of the Texas Republican Party. He made fun of George's accent during his criticism. The influencer claimed Texas was "turning into Mumbai." He also accused the party of facilitating H1B immigration fraud for years.
"The Texas GOP is led by an Indian with an Indian accent," Schaffer said. "Now you know why Texas is turning into Mumbai and the centre of H1B immigration fraud. Our own party is orchestrating it, it's not just the Democrats."
Schaffer made additional inflammatory remarks about Indian loyalty. "Indians are loyal to their race and non-Indian politicians are paid off," he claimed.

Abraham George brings a unique perspective to his position. He is a Christian who was elected Texas GOP chairman in 2024. George has previously encountered online abuse for his views.
