New Epstein Files Link Trump to Chilling 1984 Allegations: DOJ Releases Details
Epstein Files: Trump Named in 1984 Allegations, DOJ Responds

The US Justice Department made public a fresh set of documents related to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on Tuesday. This latest batch of files includes previously unseen investigative material and contains multiple references to former President Donald Trump, with one specific complaint making a series of grave allegations.

Chilling Allegations from a 2020 FBI Complaint

Among the newly released records is a complaint filed with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on 8 March, 2020. The complainant, whose identity is protected in the redacted documents, stated she was a victim of sex trafficking in 1984 by her uncle and Jeffrey Epstein. At the time of the alleged incidents, she was 13 years old and pregnant.

The victim provided harrowing details, claiming her newborn daughter was murdered and disposed of during this period. She attributed the infanticide to the circumstances of her trafficking ordeal. In her attempt to seek justice, she contacted the FBI to find an NYPD detective from a sex trafficking task force who she said had called her shortly before the alleged murder, which she said occurred between May and September of 1984.

Trump Named as a Witness to Disposal of Body

The complaint goes into further graphic detail about the disposal of the infant's body. The victim alleged the act took place "mostly from a yacht in Lake Michigan originating from Mona Lake, MI". Crucially, she named Donald Trump as a witness to this incident, claiming he was present. She also told the FBI she had informed the NYPD detective about other high-profile individuals involved in her trafficking.

Justice Department's Stance on the Claims

Concurrent with the document release, the Justice Department issued a statement addressing the allegations against the former president. The department explicitly stated that some of the documents "contain untrue and sensationalist claims made against President Trump". Donald Trump, 79, who is the presumptive Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential election, has not been accused of any crime related to Epstein. His legal team had previously fought for months to prevent the release of these court files.

Epstein, a convicted sex trafficker, died by suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal charges. The release of these documents continues to fuel public and legal scrutiny into his extensive network of associates and the allegations against them.
