Mumbai Metro Services Disrupted After Trespassing Incident
The Andheri Police have registered a case against a youth identified as Abhinandan Sule for trespassing on Metro tracks, which led to a 17-minute suspension of metro services between Dahisar and Versova. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at the Metro One Andheri station.
Details of the Incident
A security guard at the Andheri station, who was on duty, received a call from the station controller via walkie-talkie informing him of unauthorised access to the tracks at Platform No. 2. The controller reported that an individual had stepped onto the tracks, causing the metro train to be halted immediately.
Acting on this information, the security guard proceeded towards Platform 2, where he spotted a person walking along the tracks from the direction of Azad Nagar Metro Station. The guard approached the individual, stopped him, took him into custody, and brought him to the Andheri Metro Station.
Impact on Metro Services
Due to the trespassing, metro services between Dahisar and Versova were suspended for 17 minutes. The accused, Abhinandan Sule, was taken into custody and later handed over to the Andheri Police Station for further legal action.
A police officer from the Andheri police station confirmed the incident, stating, “Because he walked on the tracks, metro services between Dahisar and Versova were suspended for 17 minutes. Sule was taken into custody and brought to the Andheri Police Station.”

The Andheri Police have registered a case against Sule under relevant sections of the law for trespassing and causing disruption to public services. Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the act.
