Over 1.4 lakh aspirants are set to appear for the NEET-UG re-examination in Tamil Nadu, according to officials from the National Testing Agency (NTA). The examination will be conducted across more than 307 centers in 31 districts of the state, with Chennai alone hosting 43 centers.
Exam Arrangements
The NTA has made extensive arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the re-exam. Authorities have deployed additional staff and security measures at all centers. Candidates have been advised to carry their admit cards and valid ID proof.
District-wise Centers
Apart from Chennai, other major districts like Coimbatore, Madurai, and Tiruchirappalli will have multiple centers. The NTA has ensured that centers are accessible and well-equipped to handle the large number of candidates.
The re-exam was necessitated after discrepancies were reported in the original NEET-UG results. The NTA had announced a re-test for affected candidates to ensure fairness. This decision has been welcomed by many aspirants and parents.
Candidates are urged to check the official NTA website for updates and center details. The exam is scheduled to be held in a single shift with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols, though no masks are mandatory now.
