Haryana multi-tier security for NEET-UG 2026 re-exam

The Haryana government on Thursday implemented a multi-tiered security mechanism to ensure the smooth, fair, and transparent conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination on June 21 across 19 districts. District administrations and police have made special arrangements to maintain exam integrity and ensure candidates' safety.

Exam Locations

The examination will be held in Gurgaon, Faridabad, Sonipat, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Panipat, Hisar, Rewari, Jind, Nuh, Bhiwani, Palwal, Sirsa, and Mahendragarh.

Security Measures

Security at all centres will include police personnel, duty magistrates, male and female frisking teams, and quick response teams (QRTs). DGP Ajay Singhal stated that Haryana Police is fully prepared to ensure the peaceful conduct of the examination. He warned of strict legal action against exam mafias, rumour-mongers, and any individuals attempting to disrupt the process.

A two-tier frisking system has been introduced at all examination centres. Candidates will undergo security checks before entering the main gate and again inside the premises. Hand-held metal detectors will be used, and women will comprise at least half of all frisking teams.

Prohibited Items and Monitoring

Authorities have prohibited mobile phones, smartwatches, bluetooth devices, electronic gadgets, notes, and other unauthorised materials inside examination centres. CCTV surveillance and electronic monitoring have been strengthened at all critical locations. Intelligence units have also been tasked with monitoring suspicious activities.

Coaching centres, hotels, lodges, cyber cafés, and other sensitive locations near examination centres will remain under special watch. Social media platforms will be monitored to prevent misinformation and paper leak rumours.

Additional Arrangements

A dedicated traffic plan, parking arrangements, and emergency response systems have also been put in place. Candidates requiring urgent assistance can dial 112 for support in reaching their examination centres.
