Southern Railway Special Trains for NEET-UG Candidates

The Salem division of Southern Railway has implemented special arrangements to assist candidates appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) on Sunday. The division covers seven towns where the examination will be conducted: Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Ooty, Namakkal, and Karur.

Special Train Services

Two special trains will operate on Sunday to facilitate candidate movement. One train will run from Chinna Salem to Salem Junction, and the other from Tirupattur to Salem Junction. These services aim to ensure timely arrival of candidates at their examination centers.

Traffic Management and Assistance

Railway authorities will monitor and regulate traffic at important level crossing gates to reduce road congestion and ensure smooth movement of candidates. Helpdesks will be established at key railway stations, including Salem Junction, Erode Junction, Tirupur, Coimbatore Junction, Udagamandalam (Ooty), Namakkal, and Karur Junction. These helpdesks will provide travel-related information and assistance to candidates.
