The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dharwad has initiated the recruitment process for 12 non-teaching positions across various administrative and technical departments. The institute has called for online applications through Recruitment Advertisement No. IITDh/Admin/SR/46/2026-27, dated June 11, 2026.

Vacancy Details

According to the official notification, vacancies are available for the posts of Assistant Registrar, Junior Superintendent, Junior Assistant, and Junior Technical Superintendent in multiple disciplines. The last date to submit online applications is July 13, 2026, up to 11:59 pm.

  • Assistant Registrar: 2 posts in Pay Level 10
  • Junior Superintendent: 3 posts in Pay Level 6
  • Junior Assistant: 2 posts in Pay Level 3
  • Junior Technical Superintendent: 1 post each in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), CCS, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and BSBE, all in Pay Level 6

Eligibility Criteria

For the post of Assistant Registrar, candidates must hold a master's degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA, along with the requisite work experience. The upper age limit for this post is 42 years.

The upper age limit is 34 years for Junior Superintendent and Junior Technical Superintendent posts. For Junior Assistant, candidates should not exceed 27 years of age.

Application Fee

Candidates belonging to General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500. Women applicants, SC, ST, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Ex-servicemen, and regular IIT Dharwad employees are exempted from paying the fee.

Selection Process

For Level 6 posts, the selection process may include Written Test I and Written Test II. For the Assistant Registrar post in Level 10, shortlisted candidates may have to undergo a written assessment followed by an interview. The final selection for the post will be based on interview performance.
