Kanpur: In a major crackdown on adulteration, police seized approximately 4,000 litres of suspected adulterated edible oil during a raid near Mantora Bridge in the industrial area of Kanpur Dehat on Friday.

Details of the Raid

According to police, the operation was carried out after authorities received information that adulterated oil was being illegally stored on a vacant plot located between Premnagar and Mantora Bridge. The raid was led by surveillance in-charge Praveen Yadav, SOG in-charge JP Sharma, and Raniya police station head Dinesh Gautam, along with other police personnel.

The team recovered 20 drums containing nearly 4,000 litres of oil from the site. Officials suspect that the oil may have been stored for illegal adulteration and distribution purposes.
