Kerala Shigella Cases Reach 120 with 10 New Infections

Kerala has reported 10 new cases of Shigella infection, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 120 so far. According to a statement issued by Health Minister K Muraleedharan, three of the new cases were reported from Kozhikode, two each from Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur and Malappuram, and one from Palakkad.

The announcement was made on 19 June 2026, highlighting the ongoing health concern in the state. Health authorities are closely monitoring the situation and implementing measures to contain the spread of the bacterial infection.
