The couple arrived at the 17th-century monument around 11 am and spent approximately one hour exploring the site under the security cover of Uttar Pradesh Police and CISF personnel.
Arrival and Security Arrangements
According to police officials, Tiffany Trump arrived in Agra from Delhi aboard a chartered aircraft. After checking into a hotel, she proceeded to the Taj Mahal. The group toured the monument, captured photographs at various locations, and then returned to the hotel. The couple is scheduled to stay overnight in Agra before continuing their journey across India.
Interaction with Tourists and Guide
Tourist guide Ramesh Diwan, who accompanied the group, shared details of the visit with the Times of India. "She toured the premises for about 45 minutes and inquired about the marble and inlay work. She described the Taj as a remarkable monument with a distinct place in history. Many other tourists were also present, and she greeted everyone warmly," Diwan said.
Context of the Visit
Tiffany Trump’s visit comes just days after United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio concluded a four-day visit to India. During his trip, Rubio met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and participated in the meeting of foreign ministers of QUAD member countries, among other engagements.
