Navi Mumbai Airport Designated as 38th Immigration Post in India
Navi Mumbai Airport Now an Immigration Post

The newly constructed Navi Mumbai airport has been officially included in the list of immigration posts for entry into and exit from India, following an amendment to a Ministry of Home Affairs notification originally issued on September 1, 2025. The announcement was made on Monday, June 29, 2026.

Broader Immigration Infrastructure

Apart from the 38 airports, India currently has 34 seaports, 37 land ports, and 36 rail ports designated as immigration posts. The inclusion of Navi Mumbai airport is expected to bolster international travel infrastructure and ease passenger movement through the Mumbai metropolitan region.
