Mandya Tops Karnataka in E-Pouthi Khata Land Record Digitization

Mandya District Achieves Top Ranking in Karnataka's E-Pouthi Khata Campaign

Mandya district has emerged as the leading performer in the implementation of the e-pouthi khata campaign across Karnataka, representing a significant advancement in the digitization and streamlining of land records. This initiative marks a crucial step toward modernizing land administration and improving public service delivery in the region.

Recognition for Village Administrative Officers

In acknowledgment of this notable achievement, Deputy Commissioner Kumara felicitated 35 village administrative officers on Tuesday. These officers successfully completed the e-pouthi khata process within their respective jurisdictions, demonstrating exceptional dedication and efficiency.

Presenting letters of commendation, the Deputy Commissioner praised the officers for their strong sense of responsibility, timely execution of assigned tasks, and unwavering commitment to public service. He emphasized that the district's first-place ranking is a direct result of the collective efforts of field-level officials, whose hard work has been instrumental in ensuring transparency and operational efficiency in land administration.

Emphasis on Continued Momentum and Citizen Convenience

Kumara stressed the importance of maintaining renewed momentum in the campaign to transfer land ownership from deceased persons to their legal heirs. He underlined the necessity of strict adherence to government guidelines and made it clear that citizens should not be subjected to repeated visits to government offices for khata-related work, aiming to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and enhance accessibility.

Warning against any complacency, the Deputy Commissioner stated that strict action would be initiated in the future against officials found negligent in discharging their duties. This firm stance is intended to uphold accountability and ensure the sustained success of the digitization efforts.

Addressing Technical and Procedural Challenges

Furthermore, Kumara instructed officials to promptly report any technical glitches or procedural hurdles encountered during the khata process to senior authorities. This proactive approach is designed to facilitate swift resolution of issues, thereby maintaining a smooth workflow and preventing disruptions in service delivery.

The e-pouthi khata campaign in Mandya district not only highlights a successful model for land record digitization but also sets a benchmark for other regions in Karnataka to follow, promoting greater efficiency and trust in public administration.
