Deputy Commissioner Inspects MySugar Factory Preparations
Mandya Deputy Commissioner Kumara conducted an inspection of the ongoing preparatory works at the MySugar factory to review arrangements for the commencement of the 2026-27 sugarcane crushing season. During the visit, he assessed the progress of repair and maintenance works being undertaken to restart operations at the long-standing sugar mill.
Kumara interacted with officials and workers engaged in the preparatory activities and directed them to ensure that all necessary arrangements are completed on schedule to facilitate a smooth start to the crushing season. Officials informed the DC that an external agency has been appointed on an outsourcing basis for the 2026-27 financial year to oversee operational activities. The agency has commenced work, and efforts are currently under way to ready factory infrastructure and machinery for the upcoming season.

Chairman of Mysore Sugar Company CD Gangadhar, managing director Mangaldas, general manager KS Veeresh, and administrative officer Swamy Gowda were present during the inspection.
Surprise Inspection at Srirangapatna Taluk Office
Meanwhile, the DC conducted a surprise inspection of the taluk office in Srirangapatna on Saturday and reviewed the functioning of various sections, including file disposal, staff attendance, and the delivery of public services. During the inspection, he examined the status of pending files in the e-office system and directed officials to ensure their timely disposal.
Interacting with members of the public who had visited the taluk office, the DC heard their grievances and instructed the tahsildar to ensure that issues are addressed within the stipulated time frame.
