The Navsari Municipal Corporation has officially launched a major infrastructure initiative. This project carries a budget of Rs 112 crore. Its primary goal is to establish a completely new water supply and drainage network. The network will serve the town's recently incorporated areas.
Extensive Benefits for Local Residents
Municipal officials confirmed the project on Saturday. They stated that more than 25,000 people stand to gain from this development. The initiative promises to deliver significant relief from persistent issues. These include shortages of drinking water and inadequate sewage disposal systems.
Health problems, particularly those affecting children, are expected to decline as a result. The corporation plans to construct a range of modern facilities through this undertaking.
Modern Infrastructure Components
According to sources within the NMC, the project will roll out in phases. It will include the installation of new water pipelines and advanced drainage systems. The construction plan also features several key structures.

Broader Urban Development Vision

The NMC formulated this specific project to address a critical gap. It will provide basic primary facilities to residents in the newly added zones. These essentials include reliable water supply, proper drainage, better roads, and improved sanitation services.

The project scope extends beyond just water and sewage. Four villages fall within the expanded Municipal Corporation area. Plans for these villages are quite comprehensive.
In addition to the core water and drainage networks, the corporation is considering other amenities. These include the development of public gardens and the restoration of ponds. There are also proposals to construct a new civic centre and distribute dustbins to enhance cleanliness.
Official Statement on Project Execution
Navsari Municipal Commissioner Dev Chaudhary provided details on the project's implementation. He stated that with the start of the new year, the corporation is focusing sharply on basic city facilities.
"Our attention is on drainage, roads, storm-water management, and water systems," Chaudhary said. "We have created a plan to lay a complete network covering drainage, water, and storm water in four of the newly added villages. The first phase will concentrate on drainage and water supply work in these villages."
He assured residents that the project is progressing according to a set timeline. This adherence to schedule should soon bring tangible relief to the people. The overall well-being of the community is expected to see a marked increase.
