During a press conference, Chief Census Officer and Municipal Commissioner Vinay Kumar emphasized that modern technology, digital devices, and sophisticated online platforms will be deployed to enhance accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. Phase One: House Listing and Housing Census
The initial phase, designated as the House Listing and Housing Census, will involve comprehensive data collection for every residential unit across Panchkula. Enumerators will gather detailed information about housing structures and essential amenities, including drinking water facilities, toilet availability, and electricity access. Officials have highlighted that this phase is critically important as it establishes the foundational framework for the subsequent population enumeration.
Phase Two: Population Enumeration in February 2027
