Patna: The empowered standing committee of the Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Saturday approved 14 proposals, including the fixation of monthly rents for shops in the Kadamkuan vending zone and the installation of 35 high-mast lights across the city. Rent for Vendors
Under the new proposal, vendors operating from the Kadamkuan vending zone will pay a monthly rent ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500, depending on the size of the allotted space. The rates will come into effect after approval from the municipal corporation council meeting.
High-Mast Lights Installation
The committee also approved the installation of 35 high-mast lights at an estimated cost of over Rs 6 crore. The project will be implemented through an agreement with the Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO) under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. Civic officials said the move is aimed at improving illumination in public spaces.
