Bihar teacher transfer notification likely by June 24

Buxar: Education minister Mithilesh Kumar Tiwari on Thursday said that the notification for the state’s teacher transfer policy is likely to be issued by June 24, with the process of voluntary transfers to be completed by June 30.

Addressing a felicitation ceremony organised by the Primary Teachers’ Association in Buxar, the minister said all transferred teachers will have to join their new schools from July 1.

He stressed that teachers must discharge their academic responsibilities sincerely, warning that any negligence in teaching would invite strict departmental action.

“After joining new schools, teachers must focus on classroom teaching and ensure quality education. Any lapse in duty will be dealt with firmly,” he said.

Earlier, BJP workers accorded a warm welcome to the minister at several locations across the district. Supporters greeted him with garlands during his visit.

A procession was organised from Brahmpur to Buxar, with flower petals showered at various points along the route. The felicitation programme was attended by a large number of teachers, BJP leaders, party workers and local residents.

Tiwari had earlier contested the Lok Sabha election from the Buxar constituency as a BJP candidate but was unsuccessful.
